EGI Tony Gwinn flying the Rigor Mortis and having a ball!
Becoming an EG Wingsuit Instructor, AKA Instructus (EGI), is two-fold: To promote safe and fun wingsuiting and to be a dealer for EG. EG instructuses will be conducting first jump wingsuit courses focusing on properly donning the suit, emergency procedures, aircraft exit, deployment procedures, and flight plan. To become an EGI you must have a minimum of 500 skydives (or a combination of skydives and BASE jumps), a minimum of 100 wingsuit jumps, an instructional rating, and the possession of at least one EG wingsuit (Rigor Mortis, Flockus, or Volturius), and the successful completion of the EG Instructor course, of course good looks will do nothing but good! We will consider full or partial wave of the rating requirements if the candidate is already a BMI or a PFI or if she/he has other exceptional expertise. EGIs also will be responsible to eradicate the myth that wingsuit flying is a dangerous discipline. We believe that wingsuit flying is not any more dangerous than RW or FF. With the right training and common sense anyone who has the basic free fall skills could enjoy wingsuit flying. EGIs should be passionate about wingsuits and spread the love of wingsuit flying! EGIs are compensated for each wingsuit they sell. The Instructor course is usually free (minus the jumps, one or two in most cases). However if the chief instructor has to travel, then the course fee depends on your location and the number of candidates in order to just cover traveling and lodging expenses. Feel free to contact us to schedule a course at your DZ or come to us for a free course! EG Wingsuit Instructor/Dealer Application
